Words... Update on Life

I know posts without pictures are boring. But here's a little recap of life.

JAKE
Finishing last semester before he graduates with his B.S. in Biochemistry
Job hunting!
Interviewed with a company based out of Saratoga Springs, UT and has gotten a call about a job in Omaha.
Loving the video games he got for his birthday. Especially Zelda: Skyward Sword.
Working in the Stockroom (he'll miss it there).

MARY
Last semester of Nursing School.
Preceptor rotation on Utah Valley's Pediatrics floor, my advisor is AWESOME!
Studying for NCLEX - the software we use for school predicts I have a 98% chance of passing the first time!
Dealing with some tooth problems - sore tooth, root canal, missed a root?
Consult with the oral surgeon on Monday
Spending lots of time outside at the playground with Tim.
Still playing with the Handbell Choir.

AND...
We bought a new computer last night. Jake's finally died. Now we have a working CD/DVD drive!
Still no idea where we're moving after graduation (in a month and a half).

Phone Pictures

Some photos from the phone:

Tim LOVES the playground in our quad.

He likes getting all of his ducks in a row. :-)

And he likes checking the mail!

Cross Stitch Project

Over the last few year's, I've gotten back into cross stitching (on and off as I have time). I recently finished this project as a wedding present:

Late Night Peppers

Tim has not beel sleeping particularly well. Which is why a few nights ago, he got up to snack on some peppers and watch a show with us at 1:30 AM.

FHE - A bus ride to the mall

On Monday, Tim got to ride the bus for the first time!

He did pretty well. He liked looking out the windows and smiling at all the other passengers. But didn't appreciate having to hold still.

We all shared some lemonade from Chik-fil-a and some pretzel bites.

And Tim got to run around their dinosaur play area, which he LOVES.

A little Tim-sized doorway!

I love this action sequence of Tim climbing into and out of the dinosaur's mouth:

Pi Day

A little over a week ago, it was Pi Day (March 14 = 3/14=3.14...). Being a nerdy household, we had to celebrate! So I made some pies!

This was a peach pie. At the last minute, I threw some frozen raspberries in with the peach pie filling and it was DELICIOUS!!!

Strawberry Rhubarb. And as you can see... My pie runneth over.

Guess it really does go on ad infinitum. :-)

Waffle Night with Tim

About a week ago, we had waffles for dinner. But... if you feed a baby waffles, he's going to want some Nutella on them. And if you give a baby Nutella, he's going to need some of your milk. And if you let a baby drink your milk..... you'll get a face like this:

Tim now knows what spoons and forks are for, and he tries every so often to use them.

A Trip to the Park

We have had beautiful spring weather here. So Tim has fallen in LOVE with outside. As soon as you put his shoes on, he heads to the front door and starts reaching for the knob! He just wants to go play!

Sunday evening, we went on a walk down to the elementary school to play for a while.

And fun was had by all.

Sunshine

Yesterday, we had the most wonderful weather! Which was perfect, because the carpet cleaners displaced us. It was in the mid-sixties with lots of bright sunshine! So we took Tim outside to run around. (He stayed out for around 2.5 hours!) Josh and Shelby came out for a while as well, and Josh brought bubbles. Which pretty much made all the kids think he was a rockstar!

Laundry day. See you there.

I figured out how to upload multiple photos from my phone! Progress!

Tim and I did some laundry last Friday. There was a lot of waiting around for machines to open up, so he got to ride around in the cart. He LOVED it!

Fun with Cousins

Mike and Karen invited us over for dinner on Saturday to continue our celebration of Jake's birthday. He got to pick the meal and they had presents for him and Tim.

After bathtime, the kiddos had fun with one of the boxes a present was wrapped in.

Tim is finally big enough to play WITH his cousin to a certain extent. It is so fun to watch them. I LOVE having Mike and Karen and their family so close!
